Botanical gardens are models of the world, the world in miniature. At the same time, they also model our perception of the world. They reinforce hierarchies, judgements and categories. They influence how we evaluate plants, which ones we consider important, beautiful and worth protecting and which ones we consider unattractive, worthless and dispensable. The exhibition and performances co-curated by SONIC TOMORROW and Hanna Grześkiewicz explored alternative histories of resistance and what these might look like for plants and their migratory movements.
